Dr. Norman Farb is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto Mississauga. His research examines how mindfulness meditation and interoception — the awareness of bodily sensations — shape emotional regulation and mental health.
Drawing on cognitive neuroscience, Dr. Farb has pioneered work showing how sensory awareness can interrupt habitual thought patterns and open new pathways for psychological wellbeing.
His work has been published in leading scientific journals and has informed clinical approaches to depression, anxiety, and chronic pain.
Zindel Segal, PhD
Distinguished Professor in Mood Disorders Department of Psychology, University of Toronto Scarborough
Dr. Zindel Segal is a Distinguished Professor in Mood Disorders at the University of Toronto Scarborough. He is one of the co-developers of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), a clinically proven approach to preventing depression relapse.
Dr. Segal's research has transformed how clinicians understand and treat recurrent depression, integrating mindfulness practice with established cognitive therapy frameworks.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and has received numerous awards for his contributions to clinical psychology and mental health.
